Sonairte Eco Shop sells certified organic fresh fruit and vegetables from our own Organic Garden, alongside a range of sustainable food and household products to help you live a more sustainable life.
The Sonairte Eco Shop has a strong focus on organic, zero waste, plastic free, people and planet friendly, low carbon footprint living. Wherever possible our products are locally produced or are Fair Trade. Our aim is to be a community hub enabling people to live more sustainably to address the two interlinked crises the world currently faces – the climate crisis and the biodiversity crisis.

Certified organic fruits, vegetables, and cut herbs
Fresh, seasonal, produced in the Sonairte garden. 100% single use plastic free, all of our produce is sold in paper or compostable PLA bags. Our very popular Veg Bag scheme enables you to have seasonal local items delivered to your door.
Organic plants, seeds and garden items
Garden seeds and plants are organic, pesticide free and grown in peat free compost. We fully support the All Ireland Pollinator Plan (pollinators.ie) and copies are available free in the Eco Shop.
Plastic Alternatives
We have a huge range of products to help you reduce your plastic usage – bamboo toothbrushes, luffas,
wooden bushes, the wonderful Drogheda made Bee Natural beeswax wraps, mooncups, Earthwise Girls washable sanitary products, toothpaste in glass jars, Suma Ecoleaf kitchen towel and toilet roll in fully compostable packaging, compostable dog pooper bags, wooden children’s toys, recycled wrapping paper, plastic free cellotape, organic Fair Trade cotton produce bags, organic cotton Fair Trade washable make up remover pads, solid shampoo… and more!
Refill Station
We stock the following in bulk and sold by volume so that you can refill just the product into any container without having to buy the packaging – Ecover floor soap, Lily’s laundry liquid, fabric softener, washing up liquid, spray cleaner and Faith in Nature shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Vegan and animal friendly items
We stock a range of vegan treats including yummy Booja Booja vegan ice-cream, vegan chocolates and Eat Real hummous chips and veggie kale straws. Our cosmetics and cleaning products are from ethical suppliers that do not animal test and use ingredients that are safer for the environment – Lily’s Eco Clean, Ecover, Malones of Dublin, Marcels Green Soap etc.
Local and Fair Trade items
Wherever possible we source local or Fair Trade items. Local producers include Jealue ceramics, Bee Natural beeswax wraps (Drogheda), Honey (Slane), Bridget’s Mantle cosmetics (Navan),Tishes knits (Bettystown), Lore cosmetics (Dublin), Rainbow candles (Leitrim). Fair Trade items include Equal Exchange cocoa, sugar, coffee, and honey; Clipper teas; Green and Black chocolates; Tony’s Chocolonely chocolates Traidcraft cookies…
