The Battle of Julianstown took place at the end of November in 1641 when more than 600 English soldiers lost their lives along the Banks of the River Nanny at Julianstown. The second encounter at Julianstown in February 1642 resulted in the deaths of more than 300 of the Irish Insurgents under Phelim O`Neill. What followed this massacre at Julianstown had, in fact, devastating effects on the course of Irish History.
